Indeed, some of the most interesting new designers in Japan are those who work in menswear including John Lawrence Sullivan, Miharayasuhiro, and Phenomenon. Many of these designers are inspired by retro American or British styles -- from punk to preppy, and from grunge to Savile Row – but the result is as Japanese as Sony.
