Berley Studios fashion sketches, c.1920-1935

Berley Studios was a subscription service that provided copies of sketches to the fashion industry.  It was a leading forerunner of today’s fashion forecasting and reporting businesses and was subscribed to by major American manufacturing firms and design rooms.  Sketches made after viewing the Paris collections include such famous designers as Balenciaga, Balmain, Chanel, Dior, Lanvin, Paquin, Schiaparelli, and Vionnet.
