Object of the Month

The Museum at FIT posted this woman's denim jacket on Facebook for Patchwork Week. This jacket would have been worn over a woman’s work dress or blouse, most likely while she labored outdoors. Revisit this look and more at the online exhibition website for Denim: Fashion's Frontier.

Video | Fairy Tale Fashion School Program

We are pleased to share this short video of staff, teachers, and students engaged in MFIT's Fairy Tales School Program. This wonderful program was in partnership with Chelsea Prep Elementary School (P.S. 33) and helped students identify the special types of garments seen in fairy tales and the characteristic clothing details of "fairy tale" fashions.
